Immigration HR network meeting

We are happy to confirm that the next Immigration HR Network (IHRN) meeting for HR professionals responsible for the recruitment and employment of overseas nationals will be held as an online meeting using Microsoft Teams on Thursday 22 July
The meeting will commence at 11 am and finish at 12.00 noon.

Agenda

This is an additional meeting specifically for network members to discuss and share immigration issues and matters of interest or concern with each other and there will be no formal presentations other than a brief update at the start of the meeting.
Harry Anderson, Policy Manager at Universities UK and Tim Currie, Staff Immigration Officer at the University of Oxford will be attending the meeting.
If you are intending to attend this event, we will ask you to identify at least one issue or topic that you would like to discuss in advance of the meeting. We will then develop the agenda based on the issues identified. We anticipate that possible topics for discussion might include:

  • Right to work checks
  • EUSS
  • Extension of Academic Technology Approval Scheme (ATAS)
  • New PBS - skilled worker and other routes
Please email Alison McGrand with any issues you would like to see discussed or add the issues to the online booking form (link below).

Joining the network meeting

You will be able to join the meeting either via the Microsoft Teams App, via your web browser (i.e. Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge or Safari), or via your phone.

How should attend, attendance fee and how to book

The Immigration Network meetings are some of our most popular events. To ensure that as many HEIs as possible have access to places, whilst ensuring that discussions can take place, the maximum number of attendees for this meeting is 100.

We will therefore limit places to two places per HEI. Institutions which make more than two bookings will be asked to confirm the names of the two colleagues who will attend the meeting. Waiting list priority will be given to HEIs without representation.

The attendee fee for this online Immigration HR network meeting is at a special participation fee of £40 per place (VAT free).

When booking a place, you now have the option of paying online by credit card (note our online booking system indicates the ticket as £40).
You can of course be invoiced for the £40 attendance fee (note our online booking system indicates the invoice ticket as £0, you will be invoiced for £40).

Book your HEI's place via tickettailor

If you would like to join the waiting list for a third or fourth place, or have another other queries, please email events@ucea.ac.uk
